Zama joined Sefume Attorneys as a Candidate Attorney and, following her admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, progressed through the firm to practice as an Associate before assuming her current role as Senior Associate. Zama also holds right of appearance in the High Court.
Over the years, Zama has developed substantial experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Her experience in these areas has equipped her to assist Clients across a range of contentious matters, with a focus on achieving effective, commercially sensible, and well-considered outcomes.
Zama’s practice is focused primarily on commercial litigation and family law, areas in which she combines legal precision with a pragmatic understanding of the personal and commercial sensitivities often involved. Her ability to navigate both complex business disputes and matters of a more personal nature allows her to provide legal support that is balanced, responsive, and tailored to the unique circumstances of each Client.
In addition, Zama advises and acts for a range of media personalities, athletes, and influencers, and has developed notable experience in the negotiation and drafting of influencer agreements, sponsorship agreements, and other commercially significant endorsement arrangements. She regularly advises Clients on the commercial exploitation and protection of personality rights, bringing a strong appreciation for the intersection between reputation, brand value, and contractual rights in the modern media and entertainment landscape.
