Modise is the founder of Sefume Attorneys and an admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa. He is a seasoned commercial and litigation practitioner with a specialised focus on sports, media, and entertainment law.
He has broad-based experience in commercial law and commercial litigation, and regularly advises and represents clients across a range of sectors, including insurance, financial services, broadcasting, and manufacturing. His work spans complex contractual matters, dispute resolution, risk management, and strategic business advisory services. This diverse sector exposure enables him to provide legal counsel that is not only technically sound, but also commercially practical and aligned with the broader objectives of his Clients.
Modise has extensive experience within the sports, media, and entertainment industries, where he has advised a wide range of stakeholders on legal, commercial, and intellectual property matters. He holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Pretoria, which further strengthens his ability to advise on brand protection, rights management, content-related agreements, and the commercial exploitation of intellectual property assets.
Over the years, he has acted for a number of prominent athletes, public figures, agencies, and production companies, and has also provided legal support in relation to the development and production of television programming. His combined legal expertise and sector insight position him as a trusted adviser in niche industries.
